Alumni Excellence Awards

Alumni Excellence Awards celebrate exceptional achievements of Crescent School alumni.

The Alumni Excellence Award honours Crescent alumni who distinguish themselves in their professional careers, personal endeavours and community service. They are Men of Character who embody Crescent’s core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and compassion. Until 2017, this award was known as the Alumnus of the Year Award.

  • Nomination Criteria

    The Alumni Excellence Award honours Crescent alumni who distinguish themselves in their professional careers, personal endeavours and community service. They are Men of Character who embody the School’s four core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and compassion.

    Any Crescent stakeholder can nominate or endorse a candidate for the Alumni Excellence Award, including alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, grandparents and friends of Crescent.

    At least one Alumni Excellence Award will be awarded annually.

  • 2025 Selection Process


    January 15, 2025:     Nominations open

    February 14, 2025: Nomination period closes.

    March-April 2025: The Alumni Executive Committee along with the Headmaster will review applicants and vote on award recipients.

    Spring 2025: Award recipients will be announced. 
The Young Alumni Excellence Award honours Crescent alumni who have graduated in the past 15 years and who have already distinguished themselves in their careers, personal endeavours and community service. They are Men of Character who embody the School’s four core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and compassion.

    Any Crescent stakeholder can nominate or endorse a candidate for the Young Alumni Excellence Award, including alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, grandparents and friends of Crescent.

    At least one Young Alumni Excellence Award will be awarded annually.

  • 2025 Selection Process

    The recipients of the Alumni Young Excellence Award are nominated by the Crescent community, reviewed by a selection body of the Crescent Alumni Executive and determined by vote of the Crescent Alumni Executive.
